Nigeria: Contractor Mobilises to Site for Damaturu Flyover

Yobe State government is set to start the construction of the Damaturu flyover and underpass bridge.

The contract was awarded to Triacta Nigeria Ltd which has mobilised bulldozers, excavators, and other heavy-duty equipment to site.

The presence of the contractor in the state signalled the start of one of the most transformative infrastructure projects in the state's history.

Many residents of Damaturu, the state capital have welcomed the development with enthusiasm, describing it as a major milestone in modernising the state capital.

Our correspondent gathered that the flyover and underpass are expected to enhance the city's infrastructure, alleviate traffic congestion and boost economic growth--signifying a significant leap in Yobe State's development.

A resident, Mallam Buba Bukar, commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for the initiative.

He said the projects would bring more developmental strides.
